Request to initiate a General Plan Amendment (GPA) for a 254.3-acre site located on Leisure Town Road within the East of Leisure Town Road Growth Area. The amendment would change the General Plan Land Use Designation from Urban Reserve to various designations. The development includes approximately 1,104 residential units consisting of single-family detached homes, townhomes and apartments, a 9-acre commercial and mixed-use site, a 12.6-acre site school site, 36.4 acres of parks and open spaces, and 14.1 acres of detention basins.
Approval of the Initiation does not approve the GPA request. The Initiation would allow the Applicant to pursue a formal development application with the Community Development Department. The formal development application would provide opportunity for detailed analysis, environmental review, and additional community input
