The project proposal is to establish a towing and impound facility for automobiles on an existing 0.18-acre lot located at 1319 Callen Street (APN: 0129-331-110). The proposed facility would be used by the existing Peabody Autobody business located at 70 Peabody Road. The site plan includes perimeter landscaping and fencing to screen the vehicle storage area, space for the storage of five to ten vehicles, depending on the vehicle size, and two parking stalls at the entrance on Callen Street. The proposed hours of operation would be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with two employees. Pursuant to Section 15332 (In-Fill Development Projects) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the project is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA. No additional environmental review is required for this project.
